The first floor is anchored by the commodious Great Room, with large windows facing the street to the South, and French doors with clerestories opening to the Courtyard to the North.  The vaulted millwork cathedral ceiling is noteworthy for its heavy timber trusses and horizontal purlins, inspired by Windsor’s Beach Club.  A stone fireplace at one end invites a large comfortable seating area.  At the four corners of the Great Room are deep openings, two of which have stairs to the second floor bedrooms, leading to the Kitchen, Family Room, Foyer and Library.  The Kitchen is open to an informal dining area and Family Room, allowing all three to have views to the unusually large Courtyard and pool.  The Family Room also opens to the outdoor Dining Loggia, while across the Courtyard the Library opens to a corresponding Living Loggia with outdoor fireplace.  The Library has a bath and walk-in closet, allowing it to be used as an extra bedroom suite for holiday crowds.

The upstairs West wing has two Bedroom Suites with separate Baths and walk-in closets, as well as a sizeable Laundry.  The luxurious Master Bedroom Suite occupies the entire East wing upstairs, and features His and Her walk-in Closets and Baths with statuary marble floors, vanities and large shared shower.  The Master Bedroom itself has a vaulted beamed ceiling and windows on three sides overlooking the cloistered Courtyard and Windsor’s charming rooflines beyond.  A future elevator can be accommodated.

The Guest House design is unique to Windsor.  Beyond the Living Loggia, this oversized Guest Suite is on the ground floor and has a vaulted beamed ceiling and storage loft; its location affords privacy but with easy access to the Courtyard and Main House.  There is a two-car Garage, with upstairs finished Storage Room easily converted to a studio, office or additional bedroom.  Golf carts are accommodated in the loggia between the Garage and Guest House.

The design aesthetic of the home subtly nods to the European influenced plantation homes of the West Indies, including French, Dutch and British styles.  The entire first floor has Brazilian walnut floors.  The English-style Kitchen has custom cabinetry and stainless appliances of the finest quality, a massive island with a mahogany top, and statuary marble countertops and backsplashes.  The Family Room and the Library are both fitted with custom cabinetry for storage, audio and video.  The finishes, fixtures, appliances and hardware throughout the house are of the highest quality.  Balconies and Loggias have vaulted purlined ceilings with exposed shingles.  Oversized windows, French doors and clerestories flood light throughout, especially toward the Courtyard.  Concrete block construction and hurricane impact rated windows and doors, most with operable shutters, ensure lower maintenance, higher security and the peace of mind inherent in the best possible Windsor construction.
