Christo & Jeanne-Claude, A Visual Study

On view will be original preparatory works by Christo (Javacheff) and Jeanne-Claude (de Guillebon), husband and wife artists who together created environmental artworks in urban and rural sites around the world. Hilary Weston: Royal Collecting - Whitewall

Last winter during Art Basel Miami Beach, the Gallery at Windsor in Vero Beach, Florida, held an exhibition of Beatriz Milhazes’s work. The show marked the beginning of a three-year collaboration with London’s Whitechapel Gallery. Hilary Weston, the former lieutenant governor of Ontario, Canada, is not only the woman behind the gallery, but the woman behind the community of Windsor, which she created with her husband, Galen. Born in Dublin, Ireland, Mrs. Weston has gone on to become considered something like Canadian royalty. read more …

HILARY WESTON'S WINDSOR - VERO BEACH 32963

In the 1980's, when her children were young, Hilary M. Weston took them on school breaks to the Bahamas.  Places like Eleuthera, the gated community of Lyford Cay, and small island where they still own property, were highlights of the school year.  "We were going to build in the Bahamas but we set out to find a place in south Floirda instead," Weston recalls of a change in mindset.  "We found Vero Beach through my father-in-law Garfield.  He discovered Vero was the first place in this part of Florida where people came seeking the sun.  We just loved the undisturbed town as we saw it back then."  By Linda Marx read more …
