Architecture

Purposeful design

Perhaps nothing defines the character of a community more than its architecture. From iconic buildings such as the Léon Krier-designed Town Hall to the elegant living space of a private courtyard, Windsor’s architecture is art unto itself.

Often referred to as Anglo-Caribbean, Windsor’s distinctive architecture aesthetic blends classic southern and island home styles, with a contemporary appeal that has earned it critical acclaim throughout the architectural community.

Steeply pitched metal or wood roofs, open eaves with exposed rafter tails, vertically proportioned windows and doors, cantilevered balconies, and exterior walls in warm, neutral colors are some of the distinguishing features of Windsor’s architecture. The blending of these structural elements with classic building geometries creates Windsor’s signature style.
