Windsor to Host Designer Alessandra Branca For Windsor Suites Tour and Book Signing
Windsor, the private New Urbanism residential community, is pleased to announce that it will open its doors for a public showcase of its newly reimagined Windsor Suites by renowned designer Alessandra Branca. On Thursday, April 12, 2018, attendees will have the opportunity to tour the Suites, followed by a book signing with Alessandra and a delightful lunch.
A collection of individually furnished guest accommodations overlooking the gardens of the Village Centre, the Windsor Suites serve as a centerpiece of the community. Designed by Branca in the spirit of a delightful guest room in the home of chic, well-traveled and thoughtful friends, the reimagined Suites feature updated spaces, including grand combined living and dining areas, and a collection of artwork from contemporary and emerging artists. Branca also expanded the number of rooms by creating additional studio suites, while incorporating private outdoor spaces.
As attendees tour the redesigned Suites, they will discover Branca’s thoughtful enhancements within, including custom Siematic kitchens and/or bars, featuring Miele appliances and Cosentino stone countertops. The baths have been updated with honed limestone or Ann Sacks marble tiles, with Kallista and Kohler plumbing throughout. New floor surfaces include oak floors in one Suite by Exquisite Flooring, and ebonized wood floors or wonderfully patterned honed limestone floors in others. The fabrics and wallpapers are unique to each Suite, chosen from custom Casa Branca Collection and Brunschwig, Lee Jofa as well as Phillip Jeffries and Donghia wallpapers. The Suites feature a mix of vintage and new furniture.
The event will take place from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM and tickets are priced at $75 per person, with a portion of the proceeds supporting The Windsor Charitable Foundation. Additionally, attendees will have the opportunity to buy a copy of Alessandra’s book, “New Classic Interiors,” in advance of the book signing.
Established in 2016, The Windsor Charitable Foundation’s primary goal is to use the power of philanthropy to change people’s lives and improve the community. The Foundation raises funds from within the Windsor community and through fundraising events for the purpose of making grants to fund programs offered by local and national non-profit agencies.
