The Gallery at Windsor, Florida, has announced that Composer, a major exhibition of renowned British painter and President of the Royal Academy Christopher Le Brun PRA, will be extended through May 12 due to high demand. A two-part exhibition, Composer opened at The Gallery at Windsor on February 27 and at Albertz Benda, New York, on March 2. The two concurrent shows bring together a body of work drawing from the connection between painting and music. Together, the works encompass a complete new cycle of Le Brun’s paintings, and demonstrate the breadth of scale that characterizes the artist’s most recent work.
Christopher Le Brun said, “I’m really delighted by the warm reception my work has received in Florida and also in New York. The paintings were made to be seen and enjoyed so I appreciate the extension of time which will allow an even wider audience to share the experience of color and light at Windsor.”
Comprised of 16 paintings, the Windsor exhibition is accompanied by an audio tour, a number of short films of interviews with the artist, and a 104-page catalogue featuring 32 full color plates, a foreword by the Hon. Hilary M. Weston, an essay by Dr. Barbara Rose and a conversation between Christopher Le Brun, Sir David Chipperfield and Tim Marlow. The catalogue is available for purchase at Amazon and in The Royal Academy Gift Shop, Hatchards bookshop on Piccadilly in London and The Gallery at Windsor.
Composer is open to the public by appointment at The Gallery at Windsor, Vero Beach, Florida. For reservations, group tours and special events, contact 772 388 4071 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
