J.McLaughlin’s 2018 Winter Resort collection, which draws inspiration from the sea and the sky, will be available for sale in the Retail Village at the 2018 Windsor Charity Polo Match on February 17, 2018, which features a specially curated selection of pop-up stores. The Winter Resort collection, filled with carefree and colorful resort pieces, includes limited edition sweaters, and a new swim collection for men and women.
Lured by the luxuriously laid-back lifestyle, J.McLaughlin opened their first Florida store in Naples in 1999. Today, they’re proud to be in the heart of two dozen charming Florida communities from Sarasota to Key Largo, including the quaint Village Shops in Vero Beach, owned by Jay McLaughlin, co-founder of J.McLaughlin and Vero Beach resident.
“After celebrating the holidays in New York, we love decamping to Florida, where the breezes are warm, the salt air is fragrant with jasmine and gardenia and the skies are as blue as our signature bags. We are grateful to our friends at Windsor for inviting us in to photograph our resort collection,” said Kevin McLaughlin, co-founder and creative director of J.McLaughlin.
As part of their passion for the state of Florida, J.McLaughlin is honored to support The Everglades Foundation in its mission to protect and preserve. 20% of proceeds from the exclusive cashmere sweater collection of the 2018 Winter Resort collection will go to The Everglades Foundation. Additionally, a portion of the proceeds from the J.McLaughlin pop-up store at Windsor’s Retail Village during the 2018 Windsor Charity Polo Match will go toward the event’s benefitting charities, The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research and the Alzheimer and Parkinson Association of Indian River County.
Windsor (WindsorFlorida.com) is a private residential community spanning 425 acres of lush barrier island between the Indian River and the Atlantic Ocean in Vero Beach, Florida. Established in 1989 by Hilary and W. Galen Weston of Toronto, Canada, Windsor was designed by renowned town planners Andrés Duany and Elizabeth Plater-Zyberk in the New Urbanism style of residential living, one that offers public and community spaces framed by timeless architecture and landscape design that celebrates its tropical and unspoiled setting. Windsor is comprised of 350 homesites in various styles including village homes, cottages and country estates, all remarkable for their signature Anglo-Caribbean architecture and gracious living.
Windsor provides homeowners privacy and seclusion combined with the finest amenities, exemplary services and sporting activities. Members enjoy an 18-hole links-style golf course, Har-Tru tennis courts, an Equestrian Centre, full-sized polo field, over four miles of riding trails, a fully equipped Fitness Centre, and Gun Club. The Clubhouse, with interiors designed by Yabu Pushelberg, is a favorite gathering place much like the Beach Club which features private cabanas, its own restaurant, a pool-side Cabana Bar and 25-metre swimming pool. Windsor is also known for its art gallery featuring a revolving series of world-class exhibitions, and a Town Hall, which serves as a chapel and a venue for weddings, concerts and lectures.
Kevin and Jay McLaughlin founded J.McLaughlin 40 years ago. Their goal was to create a new American sportswear brand based in New York and built on several basic concepts: classic clothes with current relevance, sold in a friendly retail environment that has a neighborhood feel. With over 100 retail locations, J.McLaughlin occupies some of the most picturesque main-street real estate in America.
True to the vision of the McLaughlin brothers, the stores have a warmly residential feel and exemplary customer service. “Being a good neighbor” is central to the brand’s approach to business, and J.McLaughlin values being a welcome and active member of each community in which it operates. The company also operates a fully responsive digital flagship at www.jmclaughlin.com. The company is headquartered in Brooklyn, New York.
